“Autumn is my favourite season for long walks in the English countryside. All around, the trees are in beautiful shades of red, orange, yellow and gold. Together with the dramatic autumn lights, changing weather, and migrating wildlife, nature at this time of the year is truly a breathtaking treasure to behold.
This bouquet design is a palette of autumn hues ranging from ochre, orange, burgundy, to brown. I have chosen ‘Treasure’, which is a burnt orange colour calla lily, as the main flower focus. To add contrast, I have intertwined a warm buttery golden yellow garden rose, with a deep blonde centre and creamy outer petals. Its fragrance is almond, myrrh with a hint of fruit. In the background, another featured flower is a rust and ochre colour chrysanthemum, a flower which denotes the arrival of autumn.”
